2023 Garbage Pickup Schedule

2023 Garbage Holiday Schedule --> City of Huntsville Web Site

There will be no residential garbage, recycling or yard waste collection within the Huntsville City limits on the holidays listed below. Collection through the week will be delayed by one day beginning with the regular Monday pickups occurring on Tuesday.

In general, if your garbage collection date falls on a holiday, place your can by the curb the evening before the next business day.

Monday, January 2 – New Year’s Day (Collections will be delayed by one day the week of Jan. 2-6. Residents should leave cans at the curb until they are collected.)
Monday, January 16 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Collections will be delayed by one day)
Friday, April 7 – Good Friday
Monday, May 29 – Memorial Day (Collections will be delayed by one day)
Monday, June 19 – Juneteenth (Collections will be delayed by one day)
Tuesday, July 4 – Independence Day (On schedule Monday, July 3; collections delayed by one day after July 4)
Monday, September 4 – Labor Day (Collections will be delayed by one day)
Friday, Nov. 10 – Veterans Day
Thursday-Friday, Nov. 23-24 – Thanksgiving (Thursday routes will be collected Friday)
Monday, Dec. 25 – Christmas (Collections will be delayed by one day)
